medical stuff

Many of you may already know that I have had some serious health issues recently.

This all started during a routine physical that involved a chest x-ray. The doctor chastised me, asking me why I didn't tell her I was a smoker (I AM NOT!)....This was quickly followed by a terrible allergic reaction (cats) that left me with hives for weeks on end, I was also troubled with problems breathing. For weeks, I have felt horrible pressure and pain in my chest. After a trip to the ER and getting the proper referrals and prelim tests, I am off this morning for my consultation with a pulmonary specialist. I am nervous about it....

Genetically speaking, I have rotten luck. I don't exercise like I should (I had just started Curves when this all happened). But I don't smoke, I don't drink. My only real vise is Reese's Peanut Cups....but when the doctor start whispering things like "lung disease", "restrictive airway", blah blah blah.....I start worrying.

but if they tell me it's a reactive allergy to Reese's PB cups, then I'm a goner!

so if you're the praying type, please say a prayer for me. I am selfish. I don't want anything else to be wrong with me. Maybe it's nothing....

I'll report back when I know what's going on...

You know I am praying for you...when I can't sleep (which happened at 3:30 a.m. this morning) I pray for you and for my friend and family.....you BETTER let me know what's happening!

Take better care of yourself. You may not smoke or drink or any of that but you are a stroke survivor. You'll forever be considered "high risk." Don't let the years of "no problems" put you in a place of complacency with regards to your health. Your body plays by a different set of rules.

I'll pray fervently for continued healing, for good results, for many many more years of life you can use to watch your family grow up on you.
