resolutions and more

Has anyone else seen this?? I saw it on somone else's blog a few months back and was fascinated by it. I wish it was available on iTunes...
Inspired By...The Bible Experience(TM): The Complete Bible Audio CD
(and be warned...the video is VERY moving..made me all weepy..)

One of my goals/affirmations/resolutions is to walk with Jesus a little more often. This means actually DOING my Bible Study instead of letting it sit on my table. It means actually reading and STUDYING the Word. It means digging deeper. All of that makes me feel excited and nervous at the same time. How is that even possible? What am I so nervous about? What I really want to study is the Women of the Bible.....

Anyhow I wanted to see if anyone else has purchased the Bible Experience. I am looking for an honest review....it costs a small fortune, I know.
also has anyone else done "the Love Dare"? If so, I wanna hear from you.....

I haven't heard of the first one, and when it's not so late at night I'll watch the video you posted.

Now the Love Dare I read quite a few blogs who are or have done it. I'm thinking of getting it myself.

I'm joining in with Beth Moore's challenge and memorizing 2 different scriptures (of my choice) a month, for this year. I've also made a personal committment to read the bible daily. No goal as far as how much, exactly what to read, or how long...just to read by what I feel led to read, daily! I can not get closer to Jesus, if I am not in his word daily and I've been convicted on it and I'm doing something about it!

Happy New Year!

Have heard the Love Dare/Fireproof Marriage thing is awesome, but I haven't read it myself.

I actually borrowed the Bible Experience CD's from the library. My hubby has about an hour commute each way to work every day so he listens to audio books. I only listened to brief bits. He said is was okay but he didn't rave about it. I think partly because it's dramatized. He likes straight readings. I think I would have liked it but then again. I'm not sure. Does your library lend out audios? You may want to check there first. I haven't done the Love Dare but it looks excellent.

I have it. New Testament only though. I like it.

Does it replace my study? No.
Entertaining? Yes.

I can't put my finger on how I really feel. Today, I don't listen to it anymore. I'm more than willing to sell it to you for $20 (includes shipping.) This is the CD version (not MP3) and New Testament only. Let me know.

To reach your goal, I know of a great tool. James MacDonald has a ministry called "Walk in the Word". Subscribe to his podcast on iTunes for free. You get a 24 minute sermon each weekday morning.

Click here to subscribe to the podcast. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=74411103

Its not just any sermon. Listen once and you'll see. He is genuine, challenging, and backs it all up with scripture. You're left with a desire to jump in to God's Word for much much more.

Suzanne-I saw your post on Spousebuzz and thought I would drop on over.

I had to chuckle your posts, oh my gosh, I am into most of that stuff too!

I have not seen or heard this one, my daughter has The Word of Promise and loves it.

By the way, I love when the KAF catalog comes too! Also the Williams and Somona but more for ideas from them.
