waking up the writer...

Adam thinks writing is TORTURE.
That boy loves Math and Science but hates to write...
I try not to push him, but hey, it's gotta be done...

One of the games we play is like a Story Round-Robin. One person makes up the first sentence and then the next person continues it. HE LOVES THIS. We do this aloud and the stories we come up with are a riot! I prefer to do this with Adam. He's more creative. Everyone in Micaela's stories become princesses and live in pink rooms.....

Today's story included a pig farmer in Iowa, who married a woman who looked normal (don't they all?) but actually turned out to be "quite villainous" (and that's a quote from the writer). She was mean and wicked but somehow the farmer could not see it. But the pigs could. And the pigs decided to revolt. Apparently, the pigs had opposable thumbs because they would use straws and blow mud at her when she walked by. I was laughing too hard to help him finish the story...

He wants to publish the pigs story. Coming soon to a bookstore near you.

Well, don't leave us hanging! ;-) How about publishing it HERE! LOL I love it when kids can let loose & let their imaginations go.

hmmm....a cross between "click clack moo, cows that type" and "The Barnyard" (on Nick)....this COULD make for a great story. Perhaps you could get Micaela to illustrate it, she LOVES drawing, no? Or, I could get Hannah to do it, and we'd have a collab book to publish, lol!
